As a welcome move, Airtel quietly updated its postpaid plans. The new updated plans offer unlimited 4G/5G data for all postpaid plans. Airtel has postpaid plans ranging from Rs 449 to Rs 1,749 (excluding GST).
Airtel’s all postpaid plans now come with unlimited 4G/5G data.
Airtel Postpaid now offers seven options to subscribers. Each package also includes a complimentary one-year subscription to Adobe Premium Express worth Rs 4,000. Airtel also provides Google One (100 GB cloud storage) and JioHotstar to its customers for all seven tiers.
Aside from unlimited 4G/5G data and calls, 100 SMS per day are included. Users should be aware that “unlimited data” refers to only 300 GB of data per month under the Fair Usage Policy.
That being said, if you are an existing postpaid customer, the unlimited 4G and 5G data benefit will be activated without any additional steps from the user’s end. The same goes for new and renewing postpaid customers.
What This Update Really Means
Earlier, Airtel postpaid plans had fixed data limits (like 75GB, 100GB, etc.). Now, Airtel has simplified the offering with 300GB across all tiers, Just like Airtel Xstream FIber Plans.
It also strengthens Airtel’s 5G positioning comparing to Jio — encouraging users to Port from Jio/Stay with Airtel.
Final Thoughts
Airtel didn’t create any hype about this change — but it’s a welcome change.
If you already have Airtel Postpaid, you are most certainly enjoying the benefit.
If you’re contemplating switching, the ₹549 and ₹999 plans offer the best balance of price and subscriptions.
